Nissan has released a batch of photos and some details for the new Invitation Concept that will bow at the Geneva Motor Show. The car looks set to become a production vehicle soon, as the Japanese automaker says it portrays a “forthcoming new model in the compact hatchback segment to join Micra and Juke.” Potentially, it could also be a replacement for the ultra-boring but practical Nissan Note.
“The name we have given to this concept is self-explanatory. It is designed to be inviting thanks to its sensuous exterior design and generous and comfortable interior space, cleverly packaged within compact overall dimensions,” says François Bancon, Deputy Division General Manager of Product Strategy and Product Planning Division.
Nissan is promising emissions below 100 g/km of CO2 with this car, so it could potentially be powered by the Micra DIG-S’ 1.2-liter three-cylinder with that stands for Direct Injection Gasoline-Supercharger and offers 98 hp.
