I bet you guys think you know everything that's going on in the Japanese tuning scene, but the truth is nobody does, not even the folks who live there. This Nissan GT-R has engraved metal paint, and there's probably not another one like it in the world.
When mental engraving is mentioned, we naturally think of American and British gunsmiths, leaving their mark on the hilt of a revolver. Very few people in the world have the skills and tools to pull this off, so we're curious how the Japanese pulled it off.

Created by KUHL Racing, this GT-R was displayed for the first time during the 2015 Tokyo International Custom Car Contest. KUHL makes body kits, and this R35 doesn't disappoint in this regard. Everything from the bumpers to the fenders and boot has been customized.

But the artistic part is not their creation. Instead, a company called Artis made the "3D Ultimate Engraving Metal Paint". We think it's done using a combination of printing, pin striping with thin tape and vinyl, so the metal of the GT-R isn't actually engraved, not that anybody ever made a metal bumper for this car. However, the wider fenders have been sculpted out of metal, and they appear to be engraved with floral motifs.

And if all that wasn't enough, the GT-R also features an Aero Monster widebody kit by Love Lark, several performance upgrades from Biltz and a set of alloys by Work Wheels that sit deep inside the car.

This might not be the same type of GT-R that races Lamborghini and sets Nurburgring lap records, but we like it. If you think this Godzilla isn't special because it doesn't push 2,000 horsepower, you're not a real fan!
