Japanese automaker Nissan has announced that testing for the next GT-R Nismo sportscar have begun. Expected to be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in November, the new GT-R will be the fastest and most powerful iteration ever produced.
Nissan's executive vice president Andy Palmer confirmed a GT-R prototype had already been tested in Japan, but declined to reveal any technical details. However, he did say the car will get an “extra kick” thanks to several aerodynamic and downforce related alterations.

“The majority of the exterior changes are aero and downforce related. The production car record at the Nurburgring is the gold standard, and we expect to lower that. There will be an extra kick. This will be the ultimate GT-R to come out of the factory,” Palmer said.

The current-generation Nissan GT-R hosts no less than 550 HP under its bonnet and it looks like sportscar enthusiasts are in for a real treat towards the end of the year.
