As promised, Nissan not only packed the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed with gaming consoles, but also brought over a real life version of the 2020 Vision concept they built for the Gran Turismo 6 video game.
In doing so, Nissan is inadvertently admitting that the concept is much more than just something you play with. A design team from Nissan Europe, based in London, collaborated on the project with engineers from Japan.

The Vision 2020 adapts many cues from current production sportscars. The strong and slab-faced look of the GT-R is oozing out from every pore of the machine. It feels strangely familiar, and yet futuristic enough to get your attention and keep it with every angle.

The exhaust comes out from the front wing and is followed by a massive indentation of the side profile. Slim headlights make the 2020 look like it's angry while at the back, the taillights are floating on an aerodynamic strut. A cheeky carbon fiber wing and large diffuser show that the designers really went all out with the racing look.

Aston Martin just announced its Vision Gran Turismo concept with 800 hp coming from a twin-turbo V12 engine. But Nissan is playing the best card close to its chest, not telling us anything about the powertrain. Were they to admit to a hybrid system, it could have been the biggest story of the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
