Nine Nissan Goodies for Tokyo Auto Salon 2011

There's nothing quite like playing on your home turf... Having gotten used to impressing the world with its vehicles wherever it travels, Japanese manufacturer Nissan is preparing a special treat for its countrymen and women, announcing no less than nine models, tweaked to the latest trends in the tuning industry, for the Tokyo Auto Salon 2011, which takes place in the middle of January.

Among the models to be displayed, fans of the brave new electric automotive industry will get a chance to see perhaps the world's first tuned Nissan Leaf. Called Leaf Aero Style Concept, the model wears a body kit which, according to Nissan, brings to mind the image of futuristic sport EV driving.

The most recent weird car developed by Nissan, the Juke, will get a Sporty Package which includes chrome parts and 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, while the GT-R, the iconic racer from Nissan, will come accompanied and tweaked by the guys from NISMO, the GT-R RC.

The modifications brought to the model include tire-compatible suspension, lightweight components and special safety equipment and devices - including a welded roll cage that meets the FIA standard, a 120-liter safety fuel tank made by ATL and air jacks.

Accompanying the GT-R will be the NISMO Version Fairlady Z, Elgrand S-tune, MOTUL AUTECH GT-R, Elgrand Rider Premium Concept, Serena Rider and March Bolero.

Aside for the cars, Nissan and its partners will also be hosts to several events on the show's floor: pit stop tire changing demonstrations, Kids & Ladies Ride Event and more.
