New UK Laws to Make Driving on Drugs a Criminal Offense

After more than 3 years of debates and changes, the UK is getting ready to embrace its new ‘drugged driving’ laws. While drug testing is currently done at the police station, cops in the field will apparently get a ‘drugalyzer’ device, which will test motorists for drugs in pretty much the same way that standard ‘breathalyzers’ do it.
The testing devices are expected to be ready by the end of the year and they will be capable of testing for up to 13 different drugs (both legal and illegal) which are considered as impairing for drivers. Penalties will vary according to the drug found in the driver’s system, but they are all very harsh (from four-figure fines to jail time).

Well, this is probably for the best, however we’re already way too controlled and our liberties are dwindling every year and, frankly, this is just another small step towards ‘them’ controlling us, which is not a good thing at all, even if it’s still beyond the horizon of the foreseeable future.
