New “Skirt” for Porsche 911 from TechArt

The facelifted Porsche 911 Carrera is one mean automobile, but still sexy as hell. TechArt had already designed an aerokit for the old model and it not only improved the car's handling at high speeds but it also looked good on the car.

With the release of the 2009 MY Porsche 911, TechArt was hard at work on a new aerokit so that owners didn't miss out on the customization features. This new model keeps the lines simple but also improves the aerodynamic profile of the car, a fact which was thoroughly tested in the wind tunnel before selling it to the masses (OK, maybe not that many people can afford a Porsche).

In keeping with the high standards of German engineering, the whole kit is made out of quality polyurethane, produced at the company's manufacturing site in Germany. The front spoiler reduces buoyant forces on the front axle and improves the air flow needed to cool the brakes. The air vents are accentuated by decorative features and so are the sill panels.

Also aiding the aerodynamics is the roof spoiler, with 3 different types of wing adjustments. The rear wing has a fixed profile and variable wings with integrated back pressure air channels and an additional adjustable gurney flap.

And to complete the pimping of your new Porsche, TechArt also throws in decorative trims for the mirrors (varnished, carbon fiber or chrome), headlights trims, light-metal wheels (TechArt design) and individually adapted interior trims.

All of these features and the other options in the kit will be made available and showcased at the Essen Motor Show at the end of November this year. Make sure you book a trip there if you own a 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera. TechArt are known for quality tuning and thoroughly testing everything with German precision in order to insure the best quality for their products.
