Pictures of SEAT’s new Leon have now been on the web for a few days, and it seems to have caused quite a stir. It is also an opinion-splitter, with some people saying they liked the old one better and the new one looks too much like an Audi, while there are others who appreciate the marque’s new design direction.
What we can tell you for sure is that the new Leon will definitely turn a few heads, at least in the first few months after it goes on sale. Granted, its much curvier predecessor turned even more heads back in 2005, when the only car which could compete with it in terms of styling was the funky Renault Megane Mk II.
Now, though, despite the fact that the pictures circulating around the internet were thought to be leaked, it seems that SEAT has also ‘leaked’ a 49 second clip which looks very official, showing the car from multiple angles, as well as in the dark (which is a first), showing us the minimalist LED-lit front and rear lights - this will split opinions even further.
