All wheel drive isn’t a particularly new idea for Porsche. Long before the arrival of the Cayenne, they’d won many races with their Carrera 4s, both on the road and off it.
But the technology fits the 911 better than ever now, in this safety first world. To celebrate the UK launch of the right-hand drive Carrera 4, Porsche has released this stiring new promo called “The Power of Identity”.
“The 911 has many strengths, the new 911 Carrera 4 has a few more with regards to traction, driving dynamics and safety. Make these strengths your own - behind the wheel - whatever the weather,” they say, regarding their sportscar.
The video focuses on showing what sort of weather you’ll be able to deal with in the Carrera 4. Snow, ice, wind and water pose no problem... provided you keep the traction control on.
All-wheel drive arrives in many forms on the 911, from the base Carrera 4 to the Carrera 4S Cabrio, and soon to be joined by the Targa, the 911 and the GT3.
