Las week, we brought you the excellent new Jaguar F-Type that debuted in Paris, a convertible sportscar that promises all the thrills that have been missing from this market segment. Deliveries have already been set for next year, an today we finally have US pricing figures for the British stallion.
The base F-Type roadster will cost $69,000, not including the $875 destination charge. This gets you the base 3.0-liter supercharged V6 with 340 hp that will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds.
If you’re looking to spend a bit more, the $81,000 F-Type S will get you 380 hp from the same 3.0-liter V6, but this time fitted with an active sports exhaust. Thanks to the extra power, it will get from 0 to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds.
Last on the list is the F-Type V8 S with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 and 495 hp. It’s good for 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds and boasts an impressive top speed of 186 mph, according to the simple online configurator available from Jaguar USA.
“It had to be powerful, agile and utterly distinctive. It had to look, feel and drive like a Jaguar. A true Jaguar sports car; the latest in a distinguished bloodline. We couldn’t just call it F-TYPE; we had to make it F-TYPE,” Jaguar says.
For the sake of reference, we’ll tell you that a BMW Z4 sDrive35is starts at $64,200.
