The new Ypsilon is one most awaited products to be released by the Italian brand, not only because it is expected to bring a major refresh in terms of exterior and interior styling, but also because Fiat's alliance with Chrysler is likely to bring a lot of new things for Lancia. Not many things are known about the future Ypsilon, but the company is getting ready for the official debut of the car by launching a bunch of teasers supposed to keep us entertained until the car gets the public reveal.

The Ypsilon is believed to be one of the first models to benefit from the Fiat - Chrysler alliance, in a way that will bring the Italian brand several things borrowed from the Americans, including a development platform for future models. The new Ypsilon is not only expected to share a platform with certain Chrysler models, but also to present some design similarities, especially at the exterior, where Lancia is expected to make some significant changes.

The engine lineup will be revised as well, although the company manages to keep things secret. It is believed the company will work on efficiency and emissions, so the future Ypsilon will burn less fuel, while becoming more environmentally-friendly.

One of the new things to be offered under the Lancia badge is a potential hybrid or all-electric configuration for the Ypsilon, but plans for such a project are yet to be confirmed.

The car will most likely make its debut at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show in March, so we'll keep you up to date as soon as we get more info.
