BMW is getting closer and closer to giving us a new generation of the M3 and the carmaker seems to have recently done another step in this direction, as it has reportedly displayed the car at the BMW Museum in Munich.
According to BMW Blog, the F80 M3 lies at the entrance of the Museum, being under a veil and having its details covered in tape. Some of the tape elements reportedly read Fx2, which should mean F82 or F31, which are possible names for the M3 and M4, respectively.
The F80 M3 is expected to appear as a concept at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, with the production car set to arrive at next year’s Frankfurt Auto Show. Unofficial reports claim that the M3 will come with a turbocharged (twin or triple) straight-six that should deliver over 450 hp, and will shed some weight compared to the current car.
