Today, we simply can't imagine our lives without our smartphones. We've grown to be addicted to those little pieces of technology so now, whenever we're separated from them for even the slightest moment, we panic!
We do have some advantages too, mainly all the useful apps that now can be used inside your car in a symbiotic relationship with your car's multimedia system. Right now, for example, owners of an Apple iPhone can acquire the new MINI Connected ready Apps from the Apple App Store and install them in their car via the smartphone.

Once installed, operation of the new apps is intuitive using the MINI joystick, steering wheel buttons and high-resolution colour display of the on-board monitor. Here the various specific functions are displayed in familiar MINI style.

Glympse is now available for MINIs, an excellent app useful for arranging meetings by phone or message with one person, informing the other of the location, making it easier to arrange a get-together while still in the car.

As far as entertainment goes, 3 new MINI Connected apps will make sure you get your share: Audible, TuneIN Radio and Napster/Rhapsody.

Audible is the world's largest producer and seller of digital spoken-word entertainment. On it you can find over 135,000 audio programmes for more than 2,700 content providers.

TuneIn radio is a free app that grants you access to over 70,000 AM, FM, HD and Internet Radio stations comprising over two million on-demand programs streaming from every continent.

The online music provider Napster/Rhapsody takes the option of accessing attractive audio programs inside MINI a stage further. Napster, owned and operated by U.S.-based Rhapsody International Inc., is one of Europe’s leading premium subscription digital music services and is now available in 17 European countries.
