New BMW Film 'The Escape' Is Out and It's an Action-Packed Masterpiece

The only bad thing about the new movie in the BMW Films series is that it's too damn short. Ten minutes of seeing Clive Owen showing Jason Statham how it's done just isn't enough.
It's been a long while since BMW last did this kind of things, but it's been worth the wait. We have no idea whether 'The Escape' is going to be the best of the new series, but even if it turns out to be, it's so good that it wouldn't make the rest not worth watching.

We're tempted to say that Hollywood should take notes, but the truth is this IS Hollywood. Just look at the cast. There's Clive Owen who we all know (and probably love); there's Jon Bernthal who we also know very well (and probably love to hate since he always seems to be the bad guy, but he's a very good bad guy); there's Dakota Fanning, who we haven't really seen since she was a little girl (now she's a full-grown woman, mustache and all); and there's Vera Farmiga, who has had her fair share of roles in important movies.

Last but not least, let's linger a little over 'The Escape's' director, Neill Blomkamp. He's a young director with not that many films under his belt, but it's not the quantity that matters, especially since he's been involved in their writing process as well. The most famous of them are 'District 9' and 'Elysium,' the latter featuring A-Listers such as Matt Damon and Jodie Foster.

He's obviously a fan of Science-Fiction movies, and even though the action of 'The Escape' takes place today, that doesn't mean everything is the way we know it. We're not going to spoil too much of it because that would be a shame. Instead, we're going to urge you to take a break from watching 'The Walking Dead,' 'Black Mirror' or whatever other series are debuting new seasons this week and allow yourself ten minutes to watch this short masterpiece. Needless to say, we're very anxious about the next ones.
