Last Sunday's Auto Club 400 race was action-packed, but steamed NASCAR up once again after rivals Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin crashed on the last lap, sending the latter to the hospital.
Racing for the lead along with Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch, Logano and Hamlin, who almost got in a fight last week, crashed just before the finish line. While Logano managed to score a third place, Hamlin, who wasn't able to take the checkered flag, was transported to the hospital and held overnight for precautionary measures.

Angry for his 22nd place finish, Stewart got into a fight with Logano on pit road claiming that the Penske driver had blocked him twice during the race. "If he wants to talk about it, we'll talk about it. After he threw the water bottle at me like a little girl, we'll go at it now. I'm not going to listen. I don't care what he has to say. It's just words right now. Actions speak louder than words," Stewart said a few minutes later.

The race in Fontana was eventually won by Kyle Busch, while Dale Earnhardt Jr. crossed the finish line in second place, ahead of Joey Logano, who managed to stay on track after crashing into Hamlin. Carl Edwards finished fourth, followed by Kurt Busch, Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth. Paul Menard, Kasey Kahne, Ryan Newman completed the top 10. Sprint Cup title holder had to settle for 23rd place.
