MW Design BMW M3, the Canadian Maul

Only few car-related images come to mind when speaking of Canada and most of those few images do not even hint at a possible tuning appeal in the North American country. But specialized tuners do exist and, despite the fact they are quite reticent most of the time, they can surprise every once in a while.

Just as is the case with Vancouver-based MW Design. The tuner/importer has a soft spot for BMW's, as you can see in the adjacent photos. For the M3 (E92) pictured here, they chose to pass over to the dark side and, apart from making it look black and mean, they even gave it a name to match: Darth Maul. Unfortunately, information regarding the exterior add-ons, as well as some suspension tweaks are available, as you can see them below:

  • According to bmwblog.com, the Maul is still under development, so performance figures are yet to come.
  • Amuse Ericsson Front Bumper with custom Orange highlights
  • Amuse Ericsson Trunk
  • CF rear diffuser with custom orange highlights
  • CF side vents with custom orange highlights
  • CF side mirrors
  • Modulare M6 20×9 F 20×10.5 R - matte black centers/gloss black lips; custom matte black center caps with orange accents
  • Falken tires FK452 245/30/20 F 285/25/20 R
  • H&R Sports Springs

As for new performance figures, if any, we should wait for what MW Design calls stage 2. The factory built M3, using a 4.0l V8 engine, develops 420 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, but it looks like the Darth Maul could use some more. We will keep you up to date should and when they choose to add to that power.
