Australians will soon get their own network of high-level MV Agusta dealers to buy from, as the Italian company has further expanded, by naming MV Agusta Imports Pty/ Ltd. the exclusive Down Under wide distributor for the brand that is often referred to as “the Ferrari of motorcycles.”
As from this month, the Melbourne-based MV Agusta Imports has taken over national distribution of the iconic Italian brand.
The company is run by Director James Deutsher, who comes from a contemporary art and design background, and Manager Kevin Beale, a long-time senior industry player who has previously worked with other motorcycle manufacturers.
“MV’s exceptional combination of trend-setting style with leading-edge technology is what holds much of the appeal for us,” stated Deutsher. “Australia has always been a keen consumer of exotica, and we’re determined to see this historic brand re-established here.”
“We are very excited about this new agreement as we are aware that from now onwards MV Agusta will be represented by a solid company with passion, enthusiasm, professionalism and great experience in one of the world’s main countries for motorcycle enthusiasts. The appointment of MV Agusta Imports as exclusive Australian distributor is a further important step forward in the MV Agusta worldwide network development process,” said Umberto Uccelli, Commercial Director at MV Agusta Motor S.p.A.
A national dealership network is being finalised and is expecting its first shipments next month.
The company has also penetrated Canadian shores in late 2010, appointing Motovan as an exclusive importer on the market, where for the first year, the number of motorcycles will be extremely limited.
