Way back in December 2013 we reported about a partnership between Dave Perewitz and Mustang Seats, which was supposed to lead to an all-new product line, the Dave Perewitz Signature Series Seats. Well, it looks like the wait is finally over, and the “Perewitz by Mustang” saddles are finally coming.
Combining the acclaimed Perewitz styling with Mustang’s top-drawer comfort results in a 5-unit initial line-up, boasting unmistakable design cues and ready to take long-range comfort to the next level.

One Solo and 4 Fastback seats are now available for most 1997 and newer Harley-Davidson FL models are offered at the moment, with the Solo seat fitting 2008-2014 FL Touring bikes. This seat is 11” (28cm) wide, narrower than stock seats, and come with “invisible” mounting points and brackets for a seamless installation. Felt-padded bibs are also offered for the fender-contoured seat, so no damage will occur to the paint, while the seat is surely going to look perfect, as the bibs come with the same diamond stitching pattern as the seat cover.

At 12” (30cm) in the front, the Fastback seats are a tad wider, and have a 7” (18cm) taper in the back, with a very low cut, but retaining enough foam to be comfortable for long trips. While most 2008-2014 FL bikes are covered by a single part number, #76981, the 1997-2007 Road King, 1997-05 Screamin’ Eagle editions and 2006-2007 FLHX Street Glide will accommodate part #76980. You should ask Mustang for part #76983 if you ride a 1997-2007 FLHT and FLTR, while a special edition seat (part # 76982) was created for the 2006-2014 Softail 200mm Wide Tire, 2006-2010 FXST, 2007-2014 FLSTF Fat Boy and 2008-2011 FLSTSB Cross Bones.

For exact fitment, prices and availability, you should drop Mustang Seats a line, or check with your nearest Mustang dealer.
