This whole tuning scene has been going on for quite a while now. We have seen everything from grandmother’s Honda Civic to a Hummer being customized, so its nice that from time we see something fresh. American tuners Mummbles Marketing have set to work on Hyundai’s new flagship and we are very pleased with the result that is now on show at the 2010 SEMA show in Las Vegas.

In order to make the Equus go as well as it looks, the tuners have blown magic dust onto the engine bay. The car now produces 450 hp thanks to a Legacy Innovations turbo kit. A number of other performance parts have been fitted that include SPA turbo, S-Max wastegate, S-Max blow-off valve, S-Max front mount intercooler, S-Max catch can, Legacy Innovations OBD2 downpipe, Legacy Innovations aluminum intercooler tubing and a Nitrous Express kit with Magnaflow dual-exhaust system.

The car has been fitted with a Wilwood big brake kit that includes six piston calipers and 14 inch drilled brake discs, to provide a high level of stopping power. The whole luxury-mobile now sits very low to the ground thanks to an Air Lift digital air suspension kit.

Cosmetic changes brought to the exterior of the car include a custom BASF “deep burgundy” paintjob, new front and rear bumper, side skirts, rear wing, and carbon fiber roof, hood and trunk.

Mummbles Marketing have installed two Apple iPads on the inside of the car. Four 12 inch subwoofers and four amplifiers take care of the sound, while one 20 inch Pyle monitor helps with the entertainment.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
