Mr Bean’s Aston Martin Virage Up for Grabs

A 1990 Aston Martin Virage, first owned by famous comedian Rowan Atkinson is currently for sale for £22,995 on Auto Trader. You may know Atkinson better from his roles as Mr Bean, one of UK’s most loved characters.

Atkinson, however, has had several appearances in blockbusters such as James Bond’s Never Say Never Again, The Lion King, Four Weddings and a Funeral and Love Actually.

The star currently has a fortune estimated at £100 million, a part of which he invested in his passion for cars. In 1999, Atkinson was involved in a collision with his £650,000 McLaren F1 supercar and a Rover Metro.

At the end of 2009, the star’s 1952 Jaguar Mark VII racing car publicly burst into flames in Mayfair. In 2008, his V8-powered Audi S8 was also offered for grabs on Auto Trader.

This time, the Aston Martin Virage is said to be one of the first examples produced bearing the chassis number 10.

The vehicle comes with heated electric seats, air conditioning, fog lights, heated door mirrors and a high-end CD system. The interior is finished in tan leather with black piping. According to the seller, Duncan Hamilton, a full-service history is also included.

The 5.3-litre 330 bhp Virage is capable of reaching 158 mph, despite weighing a hefty 1,790 kg. The premium coupe was first unveiled in 1988, carrying a price tag of £135,000.
