The World GP Bike Legends is probably the ultimate classic Grand Prix festival, and this year's edition kicks off in two hours. From 19th to the 21st of June, the Jerez circuit will be the home of more GP legends than you've ever seen in one place.
An ample list full of big names that made Grand Prix history in the last decades comprises the likes of Freddie Spencer, Kevin Schwantz, Wayne Gardner, Phil Read and Christian Sarron will be present, alongside Angel Nieto, Jorge Martínez 'Aspar', Jose Luis Cardoso, Juan Garriga, Loris Capirossi, Carlos Cardus, James Toseland and Steve Parrish.
The Legends can be seen lining up for the start in the 500cc, 250cc and 125cc races, all three comprising the "unrideable" 2-stroke bikes. Other races include the International Classic Grand Prix for 250/350cc bikes, the Classic 250cc/350cc Trophy, the 125cc Challenge Trophy and the Classic 50/80cc Superstars Trophy.
Besides the intense action in the 14 races scheduled for the weekend, the World GP Bike Legends festival will also host a series of concerts with QueenMania and The ZZ Tops tribute bands, as well as welcoming Bonnie Tyler and the racer-turner-rocker James Toseland.
Various bike clubs will also be present and those with paddock access will be able to meet the legends, take pictures and get autographs. Trial shows will also be on the menu, while BMW Motorrad Espana will be offering test rides.
If you're in Spain this weekend and want to get a motorcycle racing overdose, the World GP Bike Legends in Jerez is THE place to be.
