Australian Moto GP rider Casey Stoner is well-known around the world for doing what he does best - ride a motorbike, which he did quite well since his 2006 debut in the top class of two-wheeled motorsport, having won the world title twice.
However, when he announced his retirement, back in May of 2012, he did say that he would be considering racing in the Australian V8 Supercars series. Now, the local media has been suggesting that Stoner may be moving into the Dunlop Series, which is basically a V8 Supercars 'feeder series'.

Upon hearing about his alleged Dunlop Series involvement, Stoner posted on his Twitter account - "Don't believe everything you read [ . . . ] Haven't decided what I'm doing yet, of course V8 Supercars is on the cards. Will let you know when I do!"

Still, it would nevertheless be an interesting transition for the rider, and considering the fact that he himself admitted to considering the possibility of driving a V8 supercar, we would not discount the possibility just yet. It does`t necessarily have to be the 2013 season, as he may need a few years of rest, following his exhausting Moto GP career.

Furthermore, he definitely needs the rest, because in 2009 he was diagnosed as being lactose intolerant, a condition which actually made him excessively tired and sick. He also admitted that he did not enjoy racing all that much, at least in the Moto GP, so the reasons behind him not going into any kind of racing are a bit more contrived.
