Morgan Motor Company and OAK Racing have teamed up for this year’s endurance racing season. This LMP2 prototype will mark the British firm’s return to Le Mans-style racing.
By the looks of things, the car you see in this video doesn’t use very much wood in its construction like the road cars do. Instead, the body is all carbon fiber and isn’t even painted.
The car is basically a reengineered Pescarolo 01 race car, but we don’t really care if its a true Morgan or not as long as it wins something.
Here is the official test and racing schedule for the European Le Mans Series:
0. Official Test Day: Circuit Paul Ricard – March 9-10
1. Circuit Paul Ricard, France – April 1
2. Zolder, Belgium – May 20
3. Donington Park, Great Britain – July 15
4. Brno, Czech Republic – September 9
5. Portimao Circuit, Portugal – November 4
