Chrysler fans, you're in for a very long, hot and Mopar-challenging summer. If you missed it in long cold months of this winter, Mopar's Top Eliminator is back. With a vengeance, as they say, giving true fans, for the fifth time in a row, the chance of proving they too can tweak their vehicles beyond recognition.
Three main events this year will mark the moments when the panel of Mopar representatives will speak their mind about the competition entries. These events are The 27th Midwest Mopars in the Park, in Farmington, Minnesota, on June 4–5;,the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, on July 8–10 and the Woodward Dream Cruise in Royal Oak, Michigan, on August 20.
The three winners will get the chance to display their vehicles in front of a crowd of specialists at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) in November. They can be accompanied by friends, of course, on Mopar's expense.
“The ‘Top Eliminator’ program continues to grow and is a favorite among loyal Mopar enthusiasts,” said Pietro Gorlier, Mopar CEO. “The creativity and workmanship that goes into each entry is second to none. With winners receiving a spot in the Mopar display at the SEMA show, the designs continue to reach new levels every year.”
Just to give you an idea of what the event is expected to be this year, it's enough to tell you that in 2010 the winners list included big names and icons like the 1968 Dodge Coronet R/T HEMI, the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE and the 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee.
