2011 Mopar Ram Runner TORC Series Pace Truck Is Here

Ram Truck – the newly announced Official Vehicle of the Traxxas TORC Series, presented by AMSOIL – and Mopar, Chrysler Group’s accessories and performance parts supplier to the Ram brand, have recently rolled out the new Mopar Ram Runner – TORC’s new series pace truck for 2011.

Set to debut at TORC’s Memorial Day 2011 season opener at RedBud (Buchanan, Mich.), May 28-29, the Mopar Ram Runner’s a production truck inspired by high-speed desert off-road racing.

Features include large tires, additional ground clearance, and a sophisticated suspension system capable of withstanding tremendous impact. These are combined with the proven HEMI 5.7-liter V-8 into an extremely reliable package. In addition, inspired by trophy trucks, steel front fenders and rear bed-sides are replaced with fiberglass layered in the Liquid Metal Mopar racing scheme.

And the TORC Series give us the opportunity to showcase our off-road capabilities and expand upon our short course racing heritage that dates back to the Walker Evans era,” said Mopar’s Jim Sassorossi, Head of Sales and Product Development. “And the Mopar Ram Runner kit turns an otherwise perfect work truck to the best off-road production truck on the market.”
