A 1996 McLaren F1 supercar is for sale on a Japanese website and it's not an ordinary one, as it has zero miles on the odometer.
Its Japanese owner thought to buy it and preserve it just as it is in a garage. The car looks “brand new” after 17 years and is awaiting its new owner.
We don’t know anything about the actual owner, but we think the Force was strong with him, not to be overwhelmed by the temptation to get it on the street and push the loud pedal to the floor, as any other man could do.
The supercar is powered by a 6.1-liter V12 bolted to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It produces 618 hp (461 kW) and 651 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque, that makes the 1,062 kg (2.341 lb) car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds. Also, the car’s cockpit is so loud when the engine is revved, that you have to use headphones similar to those used in aviation to talk to your passenger.
