McLaren's latest hypercar, the P1, is almost sold out in North America, a company representative said at the 2013 New York International Auto Show.
Speaking with Motor Authority, McLaren Automotive's director for North America, Anthony Joseph, said that the P1 will be sold out over the Pond in less than three months.
"In North America we are about 75 percent sold on the car and we expect it to be completely sold out by the end of June," Joseph said, without mentioning how may examples of the vehicle are actually destined for the North American market.
The McLaren P1 will be built in just 375 units and each of them will be sold for about $1.3 million (€1 million). The British supercar boasts a combined output of 916 PS from a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 and an electric motor. Top speed is rated at 217 mph (350 km/h), while 0-62 mph can be achieved in less than three second.
