Mercedes has announced that their AMG division has started rolling out the new V12 super-roadster and that customers across the world are about to start taking deliveries.
This road rocket comes straight out of the box packing a 630 horsepower twin-turbo V12 built by hand by AMG engineers. It will get you from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds and brings with it a Ferrari-like price tag of €236,334 for the normal model and €272,034 for the SL 65 AMG 45th Anniversary Edition.
However, don’t expect this to have been transformed into a supercar, the SL65 AMG is still a grand tourer packed with basically every luxury feature they have.
"The combination of exclusive V12 dynamism and refined roadster driving experience is unique. We are convinced that, with the new SL 65 AMG, we are able to offer an incomparably exciting high-performance vehicle for the small, but loyal community of fans", according to Ola Källenius, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
