The new Mercedes Benz SL roadster made its appearance last year, sporting a brand new aluminum chassis meant to shave off the kilos and make the car better in every way: faster, more nimble and even more economical. The mental version of the car was shown little more than a week ago at Formula One event.
This new SL 63 AMG not only looks good, but it’s also one of the most powerful AMGs. It’s new M157 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 is sold in two two power configurations, either as a 537 hp and 800 Nm of torque, or as a 564 hp and 900 Nm monster with the optional Performance Package.
Today, AMG division released this video of the car undertaking an epic drive, in true GT style. The official release says “nothing compares to its combination of tangible driving dynamics, superior sportiness, unique high-technology, and low fuel consumption.”
We’re not going to say if we believe this to be true or not, but we are going to let you watch the video and enjoy the engine noise.
