2013 Mercedes Benz SL63 AMG Promo Video

The new Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG roadster made its appearance yesterday, at an F1 test day in Spain. And now the Germans are steadily rolling out more photos and information about the car, together with this, the first promo video.
The new SL63 AMG is powered by a new M157 engine displacing 5.5 liters. The twin-turbocharged V8 is available in two power configurations, either as a 537 hp and 800 Nm of torque, or as a 564 hp and 900 Nm monster with the optional Performance Package. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a seven-speed AMG Speedshift automatic.

The new SL63 is not only faster and more powerful, but also 30% more economical thanks to a substantial weight reduction. We are also impressed with the 231 g/km this puts out which is about as much as the old Focus ST hothatch used to make.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
