Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG Original Pictures

People say the old one was better, but just stop for a second and look at the new Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG. It looks gorgeous and crisp from the inside and out. Probably one of the most expressive cars not only in its class, but from the Mercedes family.

Since we know turbochargers use exhaust gasses to spin, it was hard to believe that the turbocharged engine in this car delivers such a beautiful sound. You need only look at this corner of the car to understand why the melodic expression is so good. Mercedes' church organ takes up a prime spot at the back of the SL63 AMG.

A comfy, taught GT car and a maniac machine that likes to scare people to within an inch of their lives – it should be impossible to have both these things together. But the SL63 AMG has got the most complex and beautifully formed twin personalities you've ever seen. Could that be why they had to give it two turbo?

In the digital era, the SL63 AMG reminded us what we love about all things analog. The instruments are alive and dance to the rhythm of your feet.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
