With the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG also available with 4Matic all-wheel drive (except in right-hand drive countries), you could say that the Stuttgart uber-sedan has moved it up a notch.
The Germans from AutoBild seem to think so as well, since they took one for a spin and decided to pit it against a Bentley Flying Spur.
Normally, the S 65 AMG would have been a much better choice for the comparison, since it sports the same number of cylinders and a similar price to its competitor from Crewe, but apparently there weren't any models available for test drive yet.
Despite sporting four less cylinders and 40 less horsepower, the S 63 AMG 4Matic is actually delivering much better performance than the larger and heavier Flying Spur, which should come as no surprise considering the much lower weight and higher torque figures for the Stuttgart model.
As it seems, the Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG 4Matic actually won the AutoBild comparison with the Bentley Flying Spur hands down, despite not being the best fit model for the job.
