Mercedes-Benz has expanded its AMG accessories program for the facelifted A-Class.
The compact hatchback can be ordered with an AMG body kit, and the parts are also available separately. Mercedes-Benz’s AMG branch has entered a very lucrative market segment, providing an official range of design accessories for their compact hatchback.

The A-Class is not the first Mercedes-Benz model to receive attention from the AMG division besides the development of a dedicated version, and we do not expect it to be the last.

The new AMG parts for the A-Class fit on standard versions and models equipped with the AMG-Line. The add-on body parts for the A-Class are available for order at all authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers.

While the company does not specify this, we expect the components to be available as retrofit options as well. After all, brand officials claim that these elements can be fitted without significant effort.

The most expensive parts in this rather limited offer are the side-sill extensions. They are followed by the AMG Front splitter and the AMG rear apron with diffusor-look. The AMG division also supplies “additional rear flics,” (bumper ornaments) as well as a vinyl sports strip. The latter part costs 200 euros, and we consider it to be overpriced. After all, the sports strip is just a fancy word for a set of stickers on the side of the vehicle, shaped like a thick line.

The new additions to the A-Class range can be ordered separately and don’t affect performance, fuel consumption, or warranty in any way. For now, Mercedes-Benz does not have any AMG Performance parts for the standard A-Class versions, but they do sell a very fast version of the car, you know it as the A45 AMG.

Starting June 2016, Mercedes-AMG will offer a similar body kit for the C-Class Cabriolet, and the facelifted CLA.
