Infiniti Reveals Q30 Interior, It has Mercedes-Benz Written All Over It

Every carmaker is playing the teasing game prior to unveiling a new model so why wouldn't Infiniti jump on the same bandwagon? This time, the Japanese brand shows us two pictures revealing the Q30's interior.

Infiniti's teasing game was first taken to Facebook, where the carmaker posted a photo showing the Q30's exterior. We had a closer look and concluded there are a lot of Mazda-inspired styling cues present on the Q30's outer shell.

But that was lask week, and now Infiniti took the time to show us two pictures of the interior used by their first ever compact car.

They've also taken things to a more official level, as they provied a press release to reinforce the two teaser-photos as well.

Officials claim the brand's interior designers have selected "highest quality materials and processes to create a premium modern ambiance."

We do not deny that, as they also claim the roof and support pillars of the Q30 cabin are dressed in Dinamica suede-like material "from Italy", a choice seen more and more in the high-fashion industry.

As you know, the new Infiniti Q30 shares its underpinning with the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, just like the upcoming QX30 does with the Mercedes-Benz GLA.

However, from what we could see in terms of exterior shapes, the Q30 opts for a bolder design compared to the German model, and you'll have to blame the narrow headlamps and a sharply pointed front fascia design.

On the inside, the Q30 is very similar to what we can see on most Mercedes-Benz models, and we're talking about parts like the instrument cluster and even the steering wheel. Also, have a look at the buttons on the door. Don't they look familiar to you?

So, Infiniti didn't just limit to using the same platform as Mercedes-Benz, but also some bits and bobs have been, let's say, borrowed. In any case, we'll see the car in the metal in Frankfurt, from where we'll send our impressions on the new Q30.
