Having received a pretty warm welcome at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the smallest crossover/SUV in the Mercedes-Benz lineup is expected to sell like gangbuster when it gets launched in the United States in the fall of 2014.
Quoted by Automotive News, Mercedes-Benz USA CEO Steve Cannon said that “inventory is tight”, suggesting that the GLA could be an even bigger seller than its CLA brother, which almost single-handedly helped MB USA move past BMW in the US luxury car race.

“Dealers feel there is a lot more potential in that car,” Cannon he said. “It could be hotter - the feedback is phenomenal.” he concluded after the Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG was launched last week at the North American International Auto Show.

The GLA's bigger brother, the Mercedes-Benz GLK, had a conquest rate of more than 60 percent at its launch, while the MB USA CEO thinks that the GLA might not only replicate that figure but increase it.
