The new Mercedes Benz showed its face at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, and we were thoroughly impressed by the improvements in design an efficiency. However, when it comes to a US market debut of the sub-compact luxury model, it’s a familiar story - the model will make its arrival felt there a couple of years from now.
The news comes from Auto Week, who has also found out that some cosmetic changes will also take place when it is revealed for the US public to see at the 2012 New York Auto Show.

We'll remind you that the new compact model brings with it changes like direct injection and turbocharging, a new diesel engine, a new dual clutch transmission, new manual and fresh assistance systems.

The B-Klasse’s petrol engines come with a 1.6-liter displacement, as the B 180 with 122 hp/200Nm and the B 200 with 156 hp/250 Nm. As for the new four-cylinder diesel engines, we’ll get the B 180 CDI with 109 hp/250Nm and the B 200 CDI with 136 hp/300 Nm.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
