Even though the new BMW X5 M has been on the market for just a few weeks, the tuners out there are already working on all sorts of parts for the high-performance SUV. The first company to offer an aftermarket exhaust seems to be Meisterschaft that is apparently testing its GTC setup as we speak.
They just published a video of an initial run made by a car fitted with their product, and the results are impressive. According to them, the car put down 12 extra WHP and 27 WTQ (36.6 Nm). That’s not bad considering it’s thanks only to a new exhaust.

What’s even more interesting is that they provide some stock dyno numbers too, showing how much the updated S63 engine improved for the new generation. Their figures show that the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 puts down 460 WHP and 453 WTQ (614 Nm).

With the new exhaust, the numbers climbed to 472 WHP and 475 WTQ if we’re to believe their video. The thing is, they don’t provide any dyno charts, so we’re going to have to take their word for it.

BMW says that the new engine is good for 575 HP and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. However, those numbers are for the crank reading, and they are supposed to go down when reading the wheel output due to transmission losses. However, the loss seems a bit too big, even for an all-wheel drive car. We’re going to need a new reading to see exactly how the X5 M performs. As a matter of fact, other readings showed 535 WHP and that's more like it, to be honest.

In the meantime, the beast is claimed to do 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.2 seconds, even though the car weighs 2.3 tons. The amount of performance this thing brings to the table is too damn high!

The price tag for one of these exhausts starts at $4,998, and you’ll have to add $149 for ground shipping within the USA. You can add even more to that price tag if you chip in the GTC wireless remote control for the valves or some custom tips in either shadow black or matte black for $498.
