If you want your car to be associated with jet-setters, European millionaires and other well to do folks... like the Ferrari 458 Italia is, you have to make yourself know in Milan, the capital of all things fashion.
McLaren’s first showroom has opened its doors in the Italian fashion mecca, and more than 250 guests turned up last night to see the British-build supercar that could rival their Italian stallion. The event was hosted by McLaren Automotive Managing Director Antony Sheriff and McLaren Milan Dealer Principal Ado Fassina. Celebrating ‘Defining Moments in Time’, the glamorous opening of McLaren Milan was also attended by Jenson Button and McLaren Group CEO Martin Whitmarsh.
The new Italian ‘show’ is the 35th retailer worldwide appointed by McLaren to sell the new MP4-12C. This also bring the European total to 13 locations.
“The opening of McLaren Milan marks a significant point in the development of McLaren Automotive. My vision for this company is to design and build the most innovative, efficient and high performance sports cars in the world. We have underlined our intent with the launch of the new MP4-12C,” said McLaren Automotive Managing Director Antony Sheriff.
“The 12C is unlike other sports cars that buyers in the Italian market are familiar with. It is designed and engineered by a team with vast experience in developing successful Formula 1 cars and features technology developed for motor racing that in the 12C, delivers the most incredible performance on any circuit or road,” Sheriff said.
