MBK Moped Can Even Reach 230 mph

Most of us know that mopeds are two-wheel motorized 50 cc vehicles with a maximum limited top speed of 30 mph (48 km/h). But with a couple of tweaks here and there you can take the little moped up to 230 mph (368 km/h).

All that is possible if you are MBK, of course, because they managed to fit a jet engine onto a moped. The company went berserk and created for speed demons this jet-powered moped. The MBK two-wheeler has obviously a few modifications in order to exceed a top speed of over 200 mph (320 km/h) in a quarter mile (400 m) drag race.

The vast majority of mopeds with 50 cc engines and maximum speed touching 30 mph (48 km/h) might sound mean machines to everyone, but they are actually friendly vehicles to get you were you want to go without caring for stoplights. For the other category of people who look at two wheel machines as beautiful fast steel horses, well, those people never get enough out of two-wheel speed machines.

This is where MBK comes along accompanied by their jet-powered 230 mph (368 km/h) moped. Unlike any other moped that does not have legal bondages like wearing helmet or needing a license to ride, this jet powered moped will surely have some legal regulations to follow. The customized moped has already proved its pure speed capabilities of over 200 mph (320 km/h) on a 1/4-mile drag strip. And if this wasn’t enough, the moped has an additional seat, which proves it is not only fast but practical too.

It has been created by a Frenchman who first started with fitting 125cc two-strokes into stock moped chassis. Things evolved and soon after the 125 cc two-strokes machines came along jet turbine projects like a moped powered by a methane-fueled Chevy small block.
