Mazda will offer a limited edition of the Mazda2 in the United Kingdom.
We are writing about the Mazda2 Red Edition, which will be available from September 1, 2016. Only 400 cars will be offered in this configuration, and they will have a look that cannot be matched by ordering optional elements. Along with the color selection, which we will detail below, the cars will also have extra equipment on top of the SE-L Nav trim level.

Mazda’s stylish hatchback will be available with a “Snowflake White” Pearlescent paint or with a “Black Mica” paint, even though it is called Red Edition. The bright color will be present on the side mirror covers, rear spoiler, and rear underskirt. Customers will be able to order optional 15-inch wheels finished in “Dark Gunmetal.”

Once inside, occupants will find red upholstery for the cloth seats, red knee pad inserts on the center console, and a red-and-white decorative panel on the dash.

Customers will also be able to order Red Edition floor mats for an extra charge. All the versions of the Mazda2 Red Edition are powered by a 1.5-liter 90 HP Skyactiv-G gasoline engine.

The special edition of the Mazda2 is not the only one in the range that has been recently introduced. The MX-5 Roadster has also received a special edition, which was showcased during this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

In the case of the MX-5, the limited version was called MX-5 Icon, and it featured red detailing and a red spoiler. The interior of the special edition MX-5 has not received as many red elements as the Mazda2 has, but this can be explained by the fact that the roadster’s limited edition variant was not named after a color.

The two limited-edition versions of Mazda models shared a few elements - optional alloy wheels were available with a gunmetal finish, while two color choices were present, out of which was a pearlescent white.
