Maserati Names Mark McNabb as Commercial Director

Italian sport car manufacturer Maserati recently announced it has appointed a new Commercial Director for Maserati SpA in Modena, replacing Raffaele Fusili, who is leaving the company upon request to pursue new professional challenges. Fusili has worked three years for Maserati.

The newly appointed Commercial Director, Mark McNabb, is currently the President and CEO of Maserati North America. He will retain his present position and serve in both capacities, the carmaker says.

In his new position McNabb, who has been serving as President and CEO of Maserati North America since June 1, 2009, will report to Harald Wester, CEO of Maserati SpA.

Before joining the company, McNabb has been Senior Vice President in charge of sales and marketing at both Nissan North America and Mercedes-Benz of America, and was in charge of global operations for the Infiniti luxury brand.

More recently, he served as a GM Vice President in charge of the Cadillac luxury brand. Right before he left GM, the 48-year-old McNabb had been seeking buyers for Saab and Hummer.

Last Thursday, Maserati gave a statement in which it reported sales figures for the previous month and in which it was saying that it sold 189 vehicles in the US during March, a 59% increase over March 2009. For the first quarter, Maserati’s US sales increased by 44% to 394 vehicles.
