Fiat Group brand point on the Champs Elysees, the Motor Village, was the host of an VIP event where Maserati cars and Paco Rabanne luxury fashion combined to create an interesting luxury-racing melange.

Few people know this, but the famous fashion house has strong ties with the automotive world, having designed a limited pret-a-porter collection called “rob’auto”. The collection was created in the 1960s specially for use when driving the open-top convertibles of the time. Furthermore, Paco Rabanne’s first perfume line was called Calandre, which is French for grille. So its only fitting that the company should join forces with the automaker best known for its iconic grills, Maserati.

The event was attended by a number of socialites and other personalities. Italian actress and ‘Casino Royale’ Bond Girl Caterina Murino came with her partner, French rugby player, Pierre Rabadan. The list of celebrities attending the event include Hollywood Star Tara Reid, French actresses Julie Judd and Pom Klementieff, designer Chantal Thomass and TV personalities Alexandra Golovanoff, Anne Denis, Victor Robert, Xavier Desmoulins and Valery Zeitoun.

Two brand new Maseratis greeted guests at the entrance to the event, the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale and a Maserati Trofeo Race Car. Inside guest were dazzled by the beautiful mannequins dressed in iconic Paco Rabanne dresses, including the one made with aluminum discs worn by Audrey Hepburn in Two for the Road (1967).

The style of the dresses seemed to go well with the cars on display, which included the GranCabrio, the Quattroporte Sport GTS Awards Edition, GranTurismo S MC Sport Line and a 300 S (1955). The 300S is one of the Italian brand’s most iconic racecars, having race between 1955 and 1958. Its 3.0-liter straight-six produced 245 hp (183 kW) at 6200 rpm.

Guests were treated to Maison Prunier Caviar and vodka Wiborova Exquisite, while dancing on the 60s tunes mixed by DJ Cedric Couvezand.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
