The fastest, lightest and most powerful car in the Maserati range, as the sports car manufacturer calls it, is set to make its debut at the upcoming auto show in Paris and go on sale in the first quarter of 2011.

The new Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale draws inspiration from the Trofeo GranTurismo MC and the race-winning GT4 motorsport models.

The two-seater Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale that will debut at the Paris Auto Show “will feature razor-sharp handling” and will break the 185 mph (300km/h) barrier. The company says that the car itself is a balance between road driving roads and race driving desires.

“The GranTurismo MC Stradale responds to demands for a GranTurismo which can balance on-road driving needs with race-driving desires, incorporating the handling and aerodynamic lessons from Maserati’s three racing programs,” a company statement reads.

The super sports car also produces more aerodynamic downforce without producing more aerodynamic drag, it produces more power (450 hp) without using more fuel, the Italian manufacturer brags.

Maserati, however, failed to offer any details on the pricing of the new MC Stradale, but it’s expected to start around EUR115,000 ($150,000). However, for further information regarding the most powerful variation of the GranTurismo, we’ll just have to wait for the 2010 Paris Auto Show to start.
