Transformers: Age of Extinction star Mark Wahlberg was one of the many celebrities who visited the city of Sturgis, South Dakota, this weekend for the beginning of the 74 Annual Motorcycle Rally. The 43-year old actor posted an image of him riding Indian’s newest motorcycle, the 2015 Scout.
If you’re not really a bike enthusiast, we’ll just take a couple of seconds to tell you about Sturgis. The Motorcycle Rally began in 1938 and was originally held for stunts and race, but has evolved into being a meeting for motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world. Usually during the firs week of August, this year’s 74th edition started this weekend. As one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the world and an event long waited by thousands of bikers all year round, the small town in South Dakota is once again packed with people.
Like every year, the main motorcycle makers also attend the event usually showing off with their latest models. As one of the celebrities in Hollywood fond of strong two-wheelers, Mark Wahlberg was also present at the event so of course the guys over at Indian Motorcycles asked him to hop on their latest model. As successor of the old Scout, the new Indian motorcycle makes the definitive step into the new, modern Indian era, as it packs the first-eve liquid-cooled engine.
The all-new liquid-cooled power plant delivers 100 hp and 72 lb-ft (98 Nm) at 5,900 revs. The 69 cui (1,133cc) injected mill is painted black, with polished accents harking back to the looks of the old one, and is exceptionally integrated in a new, modern frame, with a very love center of gravity and centralized mass. But we already wrote everything there is to say about the new baby.
As to the actor, well it seems like fans will soon see the actor riding on the new Scout.
