While fans are eager to see the first trailer and as much footage from the set of Batman versus Superman: Dawn Of Justice as possible, Ben Affleck turned heads with a rather different appearance the other day. The mighty Caped Crusader was pictured in a quite embarrassing position while bending over the gas cap to fuel his 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS.
Batman star turns heads by himself, but seeing Ben Affleck at the wheel of this gorgeous vintage ride already changes the rules of the game. Anyway, that’s what fans would normally think. Problem is, paparazzi were also present at the spot so of course they took the most embarrassing pose the Hollywood star could have while getting gas into his classic.

For those out there who are not that crazy about the classic Americana, you should know that filling gas in this 1969 baby is quite uncomfortable. But the Hollywood superstar didn’t seemed to be very stressed about his bum being inadvertantly exposed while filling that tank.

As to the ride itself, Ben Affleck’s 1966 Chevelle SS 396 was updated to his taste. The deep oxblood color is a gorgeous choice in this ride, as the rich tone highlights the lines of the vehicle beautifully. Equally as impressive under the hood, this Chevelle featured an MSD Atomic fuel injected big block.

The SS396 became a series of its own in 1966 with series/style numbers 13817 and 13867. The sport coupes and convertibles used the same Malibu sport coupe and convertible bodies with reinforced frames and revised front suspension: higher-rate springs, recalibrated shocks, and thicker front stabilizer bar, but with different exterior trim.

The performance engines available included three, 396 CID V8s - the standard, rated at 325 hp, an optional 360 hp and another optional 375 hp one. The SS396 series lasted from 1966 through 1968 before being relegated to an option package in 1969.
