A 42-year-old man committed suicide Saturday night during late stages of the NRA 500 Nascar Sprint Cup race at the Texas Motor Speedway.
According to the Huffington Post, the man killed himself in the back seat of his truck, following a verbal altercation with other race fans, despite the fact that Texas law prohibits guns at the race track. The incident will probably add more controversy behind the National Rifle Association's (NRA) sponsoring of the Texas event.

Getting back to the race, the NRA 500 was won by Joe Gibbs Racing’s Kyle Busch (Toyota), while Martin Truex Jr. (Michael Waltrip Racing/Toyota) and Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway Racing/Ford) finished second and third respectively.

The Top 10 was completed by Greg Biffle (Roush Fenway/Ford), Joey Logano (Penske Racing/Ford), Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports/Chevrolet), Aric Almirola (Richard Petty/Ford), Brian Vickers (Joe Gibbs/Toyota), Brand Keselowski (Penske/Ford) and Ryan Newman (Steward-Haas/Chevrolet).
