These days, it really does seem like the best ideas for movies are the old ones. Movie geeks, us included, are going berserk over the latest trailers for upcoming flicks like Star Wars, Terminator, Jurassic Park and of course Mad Max.
By our count, this is the fourth entry into the apocalyptic world of Mad Max, where "everything is fire and blood", and it promises to be the best one yet, thanks in no small part to the work of Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron. Since Fury Road doesn't come out until 2015, we'll have to make due with the latest trailer clip released a day ago.

This movie is shaping up to be the most visually stunning films of 2015. Sure, the special effects help, since you couldn't do gigantic sand tornados with lightning in them a 20 years ago. But Mad Max is special because it's rough, because it isn't all done using CGI and green screens.

The film makers really did ask for those monstrous 6-wheeled, skull-packed, supercharged monster trucks of the desert to be built. It's not done on a computer, it's done in steel. Massive explosions and costumes that remind you of 80s glam rock bands provide extra eye candy.

Besides the one-armed Charlize Theron, this latest trailer provides the first serious glimpse of Nicholas Hoult, whom you might remember as Beast from the X-Men, playing Nux. He's a very important character, not only in the movie, but also in the upcoming video game. Nux is a slave who does crazy stunts while being chained to the back of a car, shooting at pursuers and doubling as a mechanic.

Now here's a fun little fact for you to end this story. Mad Max: Fury Road was supposed to come out this year. But shortly after filming started in 2011, Australia was hit by rare high levels of rain. The film crew then moved to the Namibian desert in Africa.
