In case you didn’t know, BMW decided for quite a while that a full-on M car isn’t exciting enough and that improvements could further be made via a new range of accessories, called M Performance Parts.
These M Performance Parts are available as retrofit add-ons and can make your car even more aggressive and meaner looking, turning it into a real showstopper down the street.
BMW just unveiled this year’s Safety Car for the MotoGP Championship, an M4 Coupe decked will all the M Performance parts you could possibly get, like new side sills, new front bumper lip, new mirror casings, new rear diffusor and a boot lid spoiler.
On top of all those, the car is also fitted with a special exhaust made in collaboration with Akrapovic that is simply stunning. While some rushed to call the sound of the new inline 6-cylinder things like ‘pathetic’ and ‘lame’ we remained confident that the new M4 will have a proper M note.
Apparently we were right. At the official unveiling of the new Safety Car the BMW people in Qatar decided to rev the engine a little to show the audience what the car is capable of. We were stunned. Sure, the audio quality isn’t all that great but you can still get a pretty decent idea of how it will sound like in real life, outside a closed showroom, and we have to say we’re impressed. Check it out!
PS: Hat tip to Qadhi!
