It has been the talk of the town for quite some time now, especially for Lotus brand fans, and now the Brits decided to take the veils off their latest version of the Exige. The 360 Cup edition was officially unveiled today and you shouldn’t be surprised to learn that it’s only going to be built in 50 units.
According to Lotus Motorsport, the Exige V6 Cup was redefined with the introduction of the 360 Cup. That’s because the car was made lighter via usage of new panels and received a small increase in power, as the name suggests. Want to guess how little that bump was? Exactly 10 HP.

Apparently, coupled with the weight reduction and new aero package, the 360 Cup version should stand taller than its ‘regular’ Exige S brother. Speaking of which, the new front splitter, rear diffuser and wing should offer 42 kg of downforce at 100 mph (160 km/h).

Available in only four colors (Metallic White, Metallic Grey, Metallic Black and Metallic Silver), all models will be coming with a matt black roof to set them apart from the crowd.

The extra 10 horsepower were achieved thanks to a new air intake along with a sports exhaust that help out the 3.5-liter V6 DOHC engine under the bonnet. The incredibly low weight of just 1,130 kg (2,491 lbs) is something to keep in mind as well, especially considering the size of the powerplant taking you around town.

“The V6 Cup was a favourite amongst many knowledgeable customers with its incredible track performance and distinctive design. I am excited about the introduction of the new 360 Cup which moves the game forward with striking new design features and performance upgrades that offer phenomenal ability on road and track,” said Jean-Marc Gales, CEO of Group Lotus about the new car.

As for the options you can deck your car with, you should know that they are as limited as always. A new Alcantara interior, adjustable anti-roll bars, Öhlins race dampers, fire extinguisher and electrical cut-off, FIA carbon seats, air conditioning and removable steering wheel are about the only things you can get.

Prices start at £62,995 (MSRP) including 20% tax in the UK which translates into $98,582 or €88,573 at current exchange rates.
