Unveiled in mid-January and shown to the public at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, the Lincoln MKC concept is starting to take shape as a production model, as revealed by a camouflaged prototype that was spotted while testing somewhere in Michigan.
The spyshots come via Ivan Lo, who describes himself as a humanitarian photographer and says he “spotted a pair of camouflaged Lincoln MKCs on I-69 north somewhere in Michigan last night on the way up to Toronto. i think it was somewhere around Lansing but i may be wrong.”
Little is known about the upcoming Lincoln MKC aside from the fact that it will be a rebodied Ford Escape (Kuga) and that it will feature a modern interior with clean flowing lines, as we concluded after seeing the concept in Detroit more than half a year ago. Just like the Escape, the MKC will likely become available with 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter EcoBoost engines.
